Find the leaks. Unlock the profit. Build the dream.

Every business deserves to know its numbers are right — not just the ones with a finance team. Our software checks your figures to the cent, shows you exactly where the money is leaking, and points to what is worth a closer look: the costs that keep rising, the customers you depend on, the cash that runs short. Plain English, with a calculation trail anyone can reproduce.

What it solves

The problems that cost a business money, quietly.

Big4CFO is software that checks your books every month and tells you, in plain English, what to look at. Here is what that takes off your desk.

  • The problem

You are never quite sure the numbers are right.

    What Big4CFO does

Every month your books are reconciled to the cent before you see a report. If they do not tie, you are told exactly what to fix — never handed figures built on a wrong balance.

  • The problem

    Cash surprises you.

    What Big4CFO does

A 13-week cash forecast, with a slower case beside it, shows the low week coming while there is still time to act — not on the day the payroll bounces.

  • The problem

Costs creep up and nobody notices.

    What Big4CFO does

Supplier charges rising month after month, possible duplicate payments and bank fees are flagged every month, each with the transactions behind it.

  • The problem

Customers pay late, and chasing them falls through the cracks.

    What Big4CFO does

Overdue invoices are listed by customer, with a ready-to-send reminder for each in your online report. You send it; we never contact anyone on your behalf.

  • The problem

Month-end takes weeks — or never happens at all.

    What Big4CFO does

Your report arrives on its own from the 5th of each month: the verdict first, the statements behind it, and an Excel model you can explore.

  • The problem

A finance director costs more than you can justify.

    What Big4CFO does

The monthly finance pack, from $349 a month — software, not a retainer. Or a one-time report from your bank statements or financial reports, from $49.

How it works

From what you already have to a clear answer, without the spreadsheets.

Two ways in: a one-time check of your bank statements or financial reports, or your books checked to the cent, every month — so month-end stops being a scramble to work out whether the numbers are right.

One-time report

  1. Pick the question you want answeredPay once. No account to create, nothing to log in to.
  2. Upload what you haveYour bank statements (PDF, Excel or CSV), or your profit and loss and balance sheet from your accounting software or accountant: one month, three or twelve, depending on the report. You don't need accounting software: bank statements alone are enough.
  3. Get your report by emailUsually within minutes. If we can't read your files clearly enough to trust the numbers, you get a full refund automatically.

Monthly plan

  1. Choose your planPay, and we email you straight away with what happens next.
  2. Connect your accounting softwareQuickBooks, Xero, Sage and others. You sign in yourself. Access is view-only: we never see your password and never change anything.
  3. Checked to the cent, every monthYour first report arrives once every transaction in your books accounts exactly for the balances your accounting system reports — to the cent on every bank and card account. After that, one arrives every month with a plain-English note on what needs your attention.

Proof from real books

What hides in real books.

Three findings from one real business's records, found in the work that led to this software: examples of what the software looks for, not what a single report promises.

  • Margin

Recoverable margin hiding in underpriced accounts

  • Statement error

Caught before it reached an active buyer

  • Discrepancy

What the money is for

Found money is only interesting because of what it buys.

Every figure above is money that was already yours and was not being counted. Here is what business owners do with it once they can see it.

  1. Hire the next person

The role you keep postponing because the numbers always feel too tight to risk it

  2. Open the second location

Funded out of margin you already earn, instead of out of debt you have to service

  3. Pay yourself properly

A salary that stops moving every month with whatever the bank balance happens to be

  4. Sell it one day

Books a buyer can check, and a valuation built on figures that tie to the cent

One-time reports

Find where your money is leaking. Pick the depth you need.

Upload your bank statements, or your profit and loss and balance sheet: whichever you have. Bank statements give every check listed below. Financial reports give your statements, key figures and cash forecasts instead; checks that need individual transactions, such as duplicate payments and payees, need bank statements.

One-time report

Is my business okay right now?

$49one-time

  • Your current cash position, and how long it covers you
  • One red flag, if something needs attention
  • Leak checks: possible duplicate payments, bank fees and interest, each with the lines behind it
  • Your cash cushion: what three, six and twelve months of cover would take
  • An Excel workbook of every figure, delivered within minutes

Ongoing monitoring

Monthly reporting software: reconciliation, cash flow forecasting and margin analysis.

Some businesses want their numbers checked every month, not just once. If you're never quite sure your books add up, this is the fix: monthly reports you can trust, checked to the cent every month, with a written finding on what is worth a closer look.

Software, not a service

Every report is generated automatically by our software from your own records. No accountant, adviser or consultant prepares it, and nothing in it is accounting, tax, legal or investment advice: findings point to what is worth checking, and the decisions stay yours.

It does not replace your bookkeeper, your accountant or your tax filings. It reads the books they keep and replaces the monthly scramble to find out whether the numbers are right.

Our monthly plans start at $349.

Questions

Common questions about cash flow and reconciliation reports.

Is a person involved in my report?

No. Big4CFO is software. Your report is generated automatically from your own records: the software checks, to the cent, that every transaction accounts for your balances, forecasts your cash flow and writes up the most important finding in plain English. Nobody reviews or interprets your figures, and nothing in a report is accounting, tax, legal or investment advice. One-time reports start at $49, and every figure comes with a calculation trail anyone can reproduce.

What's the difference between a one-time report and a monthly plan?

A one-time report is a point-in-time check on your bank statements or your financial reports, useful when you want to know where you stand right now. A monthly plan reconciles your books every month, compares each month with the last, and catches problems the month they appear rather than after the fact.

What does "checked to the cent" mean?

Every figure is checked against your own balances before it is used. A statement's opening balance plus money in, minus money out, must equal its closing balance exactly. If it does not, we say so instead of reporting on figures that do not add up. A profit and loss and balance sheet are checked against themselves: every month's profit must match their own bottom line, and the balance sheet must balance. The one exception is an Excel or CSV export of bank transactions uploaded for a one-time report: it has no balances to check against, so that report says its figures were read from your spreadsheet and not verified. On a monthly plan, every transaction in your books must account exactly for the balances your accounting system reports for your bank, card, receivable and payable accounts — with no difference allowed on bank or card.

Do I still need my bookkeeper or my accountant?

Yes. Big4CFO does not replace either of them and does not prepare accounts, file taxes or give professional advice. Your bookkeeper records the transactions; your accountant handles your tax and your annual financial statements. Big4CFO is reporting software that reads the books they keep: it checks that they add up, tracks margin and cash, and flags what is worth a closer look.

Do you need a login to my bank or accounting software?

Not for one-time reports: you upload your bank statements or financial reports and there is no account to create. Monthly plans connect read-only to your accounting system: you sign in yourself, we never see your password, and we never write anything back to your books.

What if my accounting system isn't QuickBooks or Xero?

Monthly plans also connect to Sage Intacct, Sage Business Cloud, NetSuite, FreshBooks, Zoho Books and Wave, among others. Desktop systems such as QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50 and MYOB AccountRight work by upload instead: each month you export your trial balance and upload it with your bank statements, and every bank account is tied to the bank's own statement to the cent. If you use something else, ask. One-time reports don't need an accounting system at all: bank statements are enough.

Can I compare month over month, or year over year?

On a monthly plan, every report compares the month with the one before, and each month's reconciled results are kept, so your history builds up over time. One-time reports compare the months you upload (three or twelve statements), but they are a single snapshot: your documents are deleted after 30 days and nothing is kept for later comparison.

Who reads my documents, and how long do you keep them?

PDF statements are read by Claude, an AI model operated by Anthropic, to extract the figures. For an Excel or CSV file, Claude is shown the layout and a few sample rows to identify the columns, and our own software reads the figures. Files are stored encrypted, deleted permanently after 30 days, and deleted immediately if we refund you.

What happens if you can't read my files?

If we can't read your documents well enough to stand behind the figures, we refund you in full, automatically, and tell you why. You don't have to ask.
