Monthly reports for desktop accounting software, from the files it already exports

QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50 and MYOB AccountRight cannot be connected the way cloud systems can. So Big4CFO works from what they already export: each month you upload your trial balance and your bank statements, and the monthly report is built from them — on the same rules as every other plan. Sage Pastel and Sage Evolution work the same way.

How it works each month

  • Export the trial balance as Excel or CSV, dated the last day of the month (the first time, also the month before)
  • Upload it with the PDF statement for each bank and card account
  • List any entries in your books that are not on the statement yet — your bank reconciliation already has them
  • Your report follows once everything ties

Reminders on the 1st, 4th and 8th list only what is still missing. A month is never reported with something missing.

Your export is read, then proved

An AI model identifies which column is which — account, debit, credit, balance. Our own software then reads every figure and proves the reading: debits must equal credits to the cent, and on opening–movement–closing layouts every row must add up. US dates ("As of March 31, 2026") and day-first dates ("31/03/2026") are both read. A file that cannot be proved is refused with a plain reason, never half-used.

The first time, you confirm what each account is — bank, receivables, income, expense and so on. You do this once; only new accounts are asked about later.

Cash tied to the bank’s own document

On this plan your cash is tied to a document from a third party: your bank’s statement. Book balance, less the items you listed as outstanding, must equal the statement to the cent, and those items must clear the following month. Figures other than cash are shown as your trial balance states them, and labelled that way.

Same plans, same prices

Monthly plans start at $349 a month (Foundational), with Growth at $599, Leverage at $899 and Capital Stack at $1,999.

Questions

Do you keep my trial balance file?
No. We keep the figures read from it and a fingerprint of the file, never the file itself. They are deleted 90 days after a plan ends.
Which exports work?
Trial balances from QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50, MYOB AccountRight, Sage Pastel and Sage Evolution — with debit and credit columns, a signed balance, or opening, movement and closing columns — as Excel or CSV.
